Tan, Zhiyin

I am a PhD student at the L3S Research Center, Leibniz University Hannover, supervised by Prof. Sören Auer. I work in the HybrInt project on knowledge mining from academic publications.

I hold an M.Sc. in Computational Linguistics from the University of Stuttgart, Germany, with a thesis on contrastive learning for fine-grained entity type classification, supervised by Prof. Sebastian Padó at the IMS. Before that, I earned an M.A. in Chinese Linguistics from the University of Macau, with a sociolinguistics thesis on Cantonese discourse markers supervised by Prof. Daming Xu, and a B.A. in Chinese Language and Literature from Wuyi University in Guangdong, China.

My name is written 谭芷茵 in Chinese, pronounced /tɐːn/ /dʒɘ/ /jɪːn/ in Mandarin, /tam/ /dziː/ /jɐn/ in Cantonese.
